We would love you to bring your boat along to enjoy, with us, the Brighouse Summer Festival and to make it even easier for you, you don’t even need to book your boat in as we are operating an open door policy so feel free to arrive anytime from Friday.
All CRT moorings to be available as normal, that is moorings are taken on a ‘first come’ basis with a maximum stay of 72 hours by Sainsbury’s and in the basin. Visitors can moor without time restraint along the towpath above Ganney Lock – a 5 minute walk away from the town centre.
There are private moorings outside Miller’s Bar where boaters can moor with their agreement, as per previous years.

General Event Visitors
For everyone who is visiting the Brighouse Summer Festival, canal rides are free for all! All ages welcome, simply visit the Brighouse Canal, behind Brighouse Sainsbury’s, between 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday to check availability. (Sainsbury’s, Mill Lane, Brighouse, HD6 1PQ)
Volunteers from the Calder Navigation Society and Safe Anchor Trust will be on hand to organise the running of the canal rides, so please say hello! If you don’t get chance to ride, our largest ever selection of long boats will be moored up in the Brighouse Canal basin, along with lots of wonderful flower displays, so have a walk and take it all in, plus, see the locks in action as boats arrive.
Most of all, enjoy your weekend!
